For the uninitiated, Poonam Pandey is an erotica actress who gained popularity with her roles in adult films. She started her career as an Indian model and went on to play bold roles on screen.
Some of her movies include Nasha and The Journey of Karma, where she went on to include several sex scenes that raised eyebrows in the Indian audience. Along with this, she has always been

Be it promising to strip for the Indian cricket team or claiming false death rumors due to cervical cancer, Pandey knows no bounds when it comes to becoming the gossip of the town.
As she turns a year older on March 11, here's a recall of five of Poonam's bizarre controversies that shattered the internet.
1. Stripping during the World Cup 2011
The model-turned-actress promised all the cricket fans by writing a letter to BCCI saying she would strip publicly if India won the 2011 World Cup. While the men in blue did bring the trophy home, BCCI refrained from stripping her.

Even lockdown and the pandemic couldn't keep her within the four walls. Poonam Pandey was arrested for going out for a walk with her former husband, Sam, when Mumbai Police arrested her. She became a troll material in 2020.
3. Accusing her husband of assault
She was newly married when Poonam accused her husband, Sam Bombay, of assaulting and molesting her. This was days into their marriage
when the actress had her former husband arrested.
In Kangana Ranaut's show Lock Upp. she revealed Sam used to physically abuse her.
4. App store ban
In 2017, Poonam Pandey launched her own app, Pandey App. It was all about promoting bold and adult content, because of which Google banned the app within an hour of its launch.
5. Poonam Pandey's death
If you're wondering why she cannot be more controversial, wait till you know the time when Pandey faked her own death. In an attempt to advocate for and spread awareness about cervical cancer, the Icchadhari actress faked her own death by having her manager issue an official statement.
