Ayushmann Khurrana Defends Pati Patni Aur Woh Do: "Not Promoting Infidelity"

Ayushmann Khurrana`s Pati Patni Aur Woh 2 has become one of the most anticipated films of the month. The film is the sequel to the 2019 comedy drama, Pati Patni Aur Woh.
Helmed by Mudassar Aziz, the film also stars Wamiqa Gabbi, Sara Ali Khan, and Rakul Preet Singh in prominent roles.
In a recent interview, Ayushmann addressed the ongoing speculations about the film promoting and normalising infidelity. He dismissed the same and called the film a `comedy of errors`.

The actor has built his career on progressive movies like Bala, Shubh Mangal Savdhaan, Article 15, Vicky Donor, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and more.
Speaking to Martubhumi English, Khurrana said he has always been a part of progressive films and would never promote anything regressive when it comes to storytelling through cinema.
The Dream Girl actor said, "I have always been part of progressive cinema," adding, "I will never be part of a film that is regressive." We are not glorifying infidelity with `Pati Patni Aur Woh Do`. It`s more of a comedy of errors."
In fact, Ayushmann Khurrana went on to call his character, Prajapati Pandey, a "green flag" husband who is genuinely in love with his wife.
He shared that the film revolves around humour, confusion, love, laughter, and misunderstandings. It does not promote or normalise infidelity in any manner.

Written and directed by Mudassar Aziz, the upcoming comedy drama is backed by Bhushan Kumar and Renu Ravi Chopra. It is the sequel to the 2019 release, Pati Patni Aur Woh, starring Ananya Panday, Kartik Aaryan, and Bhumi Pednekar.
Pati Patni Aur Woh Do will see a theatrical release on May 15.
