Shahid Kapoor-Triptii Dimri starrer O`Romeo trailer is out
Remember when Vishal Bhardwaj and Shahid Kapoor gave us Haider, Kaminey, and Rangoon? The stories that redefined Hindi cinema and made us believe that Bollywood is beyond quintessential action and romance have one more addition to them.
The duo is back with yet another banger as the O`Romeo trailer drops on Tuesday afternoon. It appears the filmmaker has yet again taken Shakespeare, but this time, on the rugged streets of Mumbai.
Shahid is seen playing a menacing gangster, while Triptii Dimri is shown as a damsel in distress, who is seeking his help. However, tables turn when he ends up falling in love with her.

The trailer also features Avinash Tiwary, who seems to be wearing a matador costume and looks like the antagonist here. Disha Patani stuns in a dance number, while Nana Patekar and Farida Jalal add the meat to a meatier story.

Vikrant Massey doesn`t make it to the trailer, but by the end of it, he`s given credits for a special appearance. Nana Patekar and Shahid Kapoor are seen going head-to-head in several scenes, increasing the intrigue.
Coming to the protagonist and the film`s lead – Shahid Kapoor plays Hussain Ustara – a lead – a Mumbai-based gangster who is shown slaughtering men left and right.

Just when you feel Kapoor has all the control, enters Triptii – a damsel in distress – who makes a deal with the devil only to have him weak on the knees.
This marks the actor and filmmaker`s fourth collaboration after Kaminey, Haider, and Rangoon. It is believed that the film is based on Hussain Ustara`s story from the book Mafia Queens of Mumbai by Hussain Zaidi.
Why does O`Romeo matter to Shahid and Vishal?
For Shahid, a lot is riding on O`Romeo, as he hasn`t had a massive theatrical hit since Kabir Singh in 2019. The Sandeep Reddy Vanga film saw a monstrous collection of 280 crore in India.
He did see a bout of success with Teri Baaton Mein Uljha Jiya with Kriti Sanon, which earned 85 crore during its lifetime. His last theatrical release, Deva, collected 34 crore as per Sacnilk.
A Shahid Kapoor written by Vishal Bhardwaj is all you need this year. O`Romeo will release on February 13 in cinemas near you.
