The 69th National Film Awards were announced on Thursday at a press conference held in Delhi's National Media Centre. The announcement of the awards was livestreamed on the Press Information Bureau's Facebook and YouTube channels.

Past year's winner



The 68th National Film Awards saw Ajay Devgn and Suriya win Best Actors for their movies, Tanhaji: The Unsung Warrior and Soororai Pottru, respectively. Suriya's co-star Aparna Balamural also won the Best Actress award for the same movie.

Soororai Pottru won the National Award for Best Feature Film.
