In an exclusive interview with RJ Palak, the actress opened up about the time when she had the opportunity to meet the real-life Dimple Cheema. She was Captain Vikram Batra's fianceacutee. For the uninitiated, Captain Vikram Batra was a fearless soldier who fought during the Kargil War.

Sidharth Malhotra and Kiara Advani starrer Shershaah was based on the lives of the late armyman and his ladylove. It was on the sets of Shershaah that their love story began.

Recalling her meeting with Cheema, the actress said, "I met her in Chandigarh, all thanks to Captain Vikram Batra's brother, Vishal Batra. This was before we began shooting for Shershaah. When I met Dimple, she had a sparkle in her eyes, and I was moved by her selflessness. When we spoke about Captain Vikram Batra, she mentioned every little detail as if it happened just yesterday."

"Dimple must have been 24 or 25 when she decided never to marry again. In the movie, the dialogue about Dimple not being willing to marry anyone other than Vikram was inspired by her. We even shot at the exact locations where these incidents happened. For example, the funeral scene was shot where Captain Vikram Batra's last rites were performed," Kiara Advani further added.

On the work front

Kiara Advani is currently soaring high on Satyaprem Ki Katha's success. She once again shared her screen space with Kartik Aaryan. The two had collaborated for the first time in Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2.

The actress will be next seen in Game Changer alongside Ram Charan. Speculation is that she may also be a part of Hrithik Roshan's War 2.
