Music Composer Sachin Sanghvi Arrested For Sexual Assaulting A Singer

Sachin Sanghvi of Sachin-Jigar duo arrested for sexual assault
Bollywood singer and music composer Sachin Sanghvi of the Sachin-Jigar duo has been arrested for sexually assaulting a young singer. This comes after the woman filed a complaint against him for promising her a chance in a music album and marrying her.
The police confirmed the news on Friday. However, Advocate Aditya Mithe, who is representing Sachin, denied the allegations and called them "absolutely baseless".
Sanghvi, known for his incredible music in movies like Thamma, Stree 2, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Bhediya, and more, was arrested on Thursday under relevant sections of Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, an official said.
He revealed that the complainant, around 20 years old, claimed that she came in contact with the music composer in February 2024. He had sent her a message on Instagram.
Sachin Sanghvi allegedly promised her a chance in a music album, and the two even exchanged numbers after. The woman further alleged that Sachin called her in the studio, where he proposed marriage and sexually assaulted her multiple times.
Following the probe, the singer was arrested, said the official.
In a media statement, Sachin Sanghvi`s lawyer denied the same and said, "The allegations in the FIR against my client are absolutely baseless and unsubstantiated. There are absolutely no merits to the case. My client`s detention by the police was illegal, and that is the reason why he was released on bail immediately. We intended to defend all allegations fully and unequivocally."
Sanghvi`s arrest comes days after the release of his latest work in Thamma as a part of the Sachin-Jigar music composer duo. The film stars Ayushmann Khurrana, Rashmika Mandanna, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui.
