1990s was Shaktimaan. Mukesh Khanna, who played Shaktimaan, soon became a household name with his life lessons and superhero tactics.
The iconic 1990s cult classic show will now be made into a feature film. Any guesses on who will play the new-age Shaktimaan? It is none other than Ranveer Singh. The makers of the superhero film have shown interest in casting the actor as Shaktimaan.
However, Mukesh Khanna objects to and disapproves of
Ranveer Singh's casting to play Shaktimaan in the film. Taking it to his YouTube channel, the veteran actor said some harsh and controversial things about the Simmba actor.
Why Mukesh Khanna objects Ranveer Singh as Shaktimaan
While nothing has been finalized yet, reports suggest the Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani actor will headline the superhero film. However, the OG Shaktimaan seems to disapprove of the casting.
Taking it to his Instagram handle, Khanna shared a post on the same that seems to spark some serious controversies. He also shared a video on his YouTube channel where he spoke at length about Ranveer Singh's casting in Shaktimaan.

"Pura social media mahinon se is rumor se bhara pada tha ki Ranveer karega Shaktimaan. Aur har koi naaraz tha ise lekar. Main chup raha. Lekin jub channels ne bhi elaan karna shuru kar diya ki Ranveer sign ho gaya hai. To mujhe muhn kholana pada. Aur maine bol diya ki aisi image wala vyakti kitna bhi bada star kyon na ho Shaktimaan nahin ban sakta. I have put my foot down. Ab Aaga aage dekhiye hota hai kya ??' his post read.
In the video, Mukesh Khanna suggested that Ranveer Singh take on roles where nudity is prevalent. He further said the actor can take up work in Finland, Spain, and more countries where he can showcase his body.
"Work in films where you will get to do a nude scene in every third scene," the veteran actor said. He further elaborated on how Shaktimaan is not a common superhero like Spider-Man or Batman.

While the Mukesh Khanna-Ranveer Singh controversy is shaking and quaking the internet, the latter has yet to comment on the same.
While an official announcement of the RamLeela actor coming on board as Shaktimaan is yet to be confirmed, a source close to the development shared some interesting details.
