If there is one show that has constantly and thoroughly entertained the audience for over a decade, it has to be Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. The Indian sitcom has been going on for about 13 years and has completed over 3900 episodes. With several actors coming and going, what stayed with us were the characters. Speaking of characters, Monaz Mevawalla will now replace Jennifer Mistry as the new Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi.

The announcement of getting a new face onboard happened after Jennifer Mistry had a fallout with producer Asit Kumar Modi. She accused him and other makers of sexual allegations, a lack of timely payment, and mental harassment.

Monaz Mevawalla will play Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi in TMKOC

Well, as they say, the show must go on. In no time, the makers found a new face to play Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi, aka Roshan Bhabhi. It is Monaz Mevawalla who will step into Jennifer's shoes.

In an official statement, Asit Kumar Modi welcomed Monaz and said, "We are delighted to have Monaz Mevawalla. Her talent and passion for acting will undoubtedly add a new dimension to the character and the show. We welcome her wholeheartedly to the TMKOC family. Her portrayal is anticipated to bring a new dimension to the already beloved series, captivating audiences with her performance."

Monaz will now be playing Roshan Singh Sodhi's wife. The Punjabi-Parsi couple is known for their zest for life and seeing a positive side to every problem.

Expressing her excitement, the TV actress said, "I am thrilled and proud to be part of the TMKOC family. I love the role and am grateful to Mr.Modi for this opportunity. I'll put all my energy and heart into this character. Having previously worked with Mr.Modi, I have loved his passion and dedication for every TMKOC member for the past 15 years. Monaz will replace Jennifer Mistry, who played the role of Mrs. Roshan Singh Sodhi for 13 years. She quit the show in April after having major differences with the makers.

Asit Kumar assures Daya Ben's return to TMKOC

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah fans have been missing Daya Ben ever since she left the show. However, in a recent statement, producer Asit Modi assured fans that Daya (Disha Vakani) would make a grand comeback.

He said, "Daya bhabhi will return soon I know you all are upset with us. You all are angry with us, and I know you all love me. We value your love, and we aren't playing with your emotions. Trust us, we are going to bring Daya bhabhi soon."

"Due to some circumstances, we couldn't bring her back for Diwali, but in a matter of a few days, I promise you all that Daya Bhabhi will be back in Gokuldham Society soon. Please don't get miffed stay tuned to Taara Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah," he further added.
