Amidst the whole Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah controversy, Priya Ahuja opens up on 'unfair treatment' against the actors and 'sexist comments' passed by the show's producer Asit Modi. She isn't the first actor from the TMKOC cast to call out the producer for his unwarrantable behavior. Modi has faced several allegations and accusations from other cast members too.

Priya Ahuja, who plays the role of Rita Reporter, opened up about how Asit Modi used to torture the actors and pass several offensive comments, especially to the actresses. In an interview, she accused the producer of mistreating her.

Ahuja said, 'The artists have to go through mental harassment when they work on Taarak Mehta. Asit Kumarr Modi bhai, Sohil Ramani, or Jatin Bajaj (he's like my younger brother) they never misbehaved with me. But as far work is concerned I've been subjected to unfair treatment.'

Priya also stated that her character's trajectory post her husband's withdrawal from the show has been uncertain. She went ahead to seek clarification from the makers but there was no response from their end. Furthermore, she even recounted instances when Modi had made sexist remarks.

'Asit bhai has told me this many times 'Malav is earning then why do you have to worry? You enjoy life like a queen,' the actress recalled. Priya also revealed how unfortunate it was that she did not even receive basic respect despite working for 14 long years with the popular Sab TV show.

It all started when Shailesh Lodha, who played Taarak Mehta in the show, complained about the makers delaying his payment. Joining him recently was Jennifer Mistry Bansiwal who left TMKOC and accused the producer and makers of the show of harassment.

Monika Bhadoriya, who played the role of Bawri also accused the makers of unjust treatment and revealed behind the scenes of an actor in the sets of Taarak Mehta Ka Oolta Chashmah.
