Makers of Sikandar Announce Rashmika Mandanna`s Entry Alongside Salman Khan
After the success of her Bollywood films like ‘Mission Majnu’ and ‘Animal’, Rashmika Mandanna is all set to star alongside Salman Khan. On May 9, the filmmakers of Sikandar, the upcoming directorial by the talented filmmaker A. R. Murugadoss, announced Rashmika Mandanna’s entry to the project.
According to the reports, the actress will play a prominent role in the upcoming collaboration between the film industry’s powerhouses: Salman Khan, A. R. Murugadoss, and Sajid Nadiadwala. Sikander will mark the reunion of Salman Khan and Nadiadwala after almost 10 years. The duo last worked together in the 2014 film ‘Kick’.
The Pushpa actress took to her X handle to share her excitement about the announcement. She wrote, “You guys, for a long time, have been asking me for the next update, and here it is. Surprise!! I am truly grateful and honoured to be a part of #Sikandar. Releasing in cinemas on EID 2025!”
The filming of Sikandar is set to begin next month. Sikandar will be released on the occasion of Eid 2025. Notably, it will also be the year that Salman Khan turns 60. It is an interesting fact that Salman Khan has had some of the biggest releases every 10 years. For instance, hits like Karan Arjun, No Entry, and Bajrani Bhaijaan came out when the actor was 20, 40, and 50, respectively. That’s why fans are highly excited about this upcoming movie.

Although the details about the film’s plot and budget are still under wraps, rumour has it that the film is being made on a whopping budget of 400 crores! The shooting will span across several locations in India and Europe. With Rashmika’s entry into the project as the female lead, fans of both Salman and Rashmika can’t contain their excitement for the coming together of this iconic pairing.

Rashmika made her Bollywood debut in 2022 with the film Goodbye alongside Big B Amitabh Bachchan. Her upcoming films include Pushpa: The Rule, a highly anticipated Telugu film starring National Award winner Allu Arjun as the lead. She’ll also be seen in Chhava alongside Vicky Kaushal and in Kubera, a Tamil-language film, alongside Dhanush.
