After some vulnerable outings made by Sara Ali Khan and Ananya Panday on the third episode of Koffee With Karan 8, regarding their past relationship with Kartik Aaryan, it became the talk of the town. Sara was quite open about how she handled the break-up and how it wasn't easy.

In an interview, Kartik Aryan reacts about the episode. Kartik had Sara during the filming of Love Aaj Kal 2 and was together with Ananya Panday when they starred together in Pati Patni aur Woh.

Expressing disappointment at his personal life being discussed publicly in his absence, he said, "Ek cheez mujhe lagti hai, relationship agar do logo ki hai toh dusre insaan ko bhi woh baatein nahi karni chahiye. Hum sab ko apni relationship ki respect karni chahiye. I believe that if a relationship is between two people, the other person should not talk about it. (We should all respect our relationships.)

He further added, "I expect the same from my partner. It's not good for someone to speak about the relationship if things don't work out. Par jab aap saath hote ho kisike toh, you don't imagine it to be like that. You don't imagine ke yeh khatam ho jayega. I think you should respect that time and that moment. I think you should respect yourself also."

Kartik Aaryan and Karan Johar had a feud during the casting of Dostana 2. Kartik was initially finalized for the project, but later he was dropped. Dharma Productions made an official announcement post saying that new casting would be announced soon. Since then, the two have maintained their distance.

However, recently, they were spotted together on multiple occasions, be it at film festivals or at the screening of Aaryan's Satyaprem Ki Katha.

There have also been reports of Kartik coming onto the couch of Koffee With Karan 8, but there is no confirmation. If that happens, it would be interesting to see if the two address their feud.

Work-wise, Kartik Aaryan is currently shooting for the Kabir Khan directorial, Chandu Champion, which is a sports biopic that will release in 2024. His last theatrical release, Satyaprem Ki Katha, was a success at the box office.
