Vaani Kapoor opens up on not being a part of War 2
After making an impactful career on the big screen, Vaani Kapoor is now gearing up for her digital debut with the web series Mandala Murders. The murder mystery has already garnered eyeballs with its edge-of-the-seat trailer, leaving fans wanting more.
Vaani, who is busy promoting Mandala Murders, recently sat down with YouTuber Siddharth Kannan for a candid chat. She was asked about her thoughts on not being a part of War 2.
For the uninitiated, the actress played the female lead in the first instalment of the spy action drama. She is now replaced by Kiara Advani, whose bold bikini avatar and a fierce look from the film have gone viral.

In the recent interview, the Befikre actress said she has no hard feelings about not being a part of the upcoming spy drama and wished the team good luck. She also stated practical reasons why only Hrithik Roshan continued to be a part of the War franchise.
She said, “No, I wish them the best. I feel incredibly grateful that I at least got the opportunity to be a part of a film like War, the OG War. It is looking beautiful. It is cinematic. It is larger than life. Kudos to the team.”

She playfully quipped about the fate of her and Tiger Shroff`s characters in the film and added, “Me, Sid (director Sidharth Anand), and Tiger are all not there in the sequel. Tiger and I both passed away in war. So I said, If Tiger comes back, I’m coming back too, my friend!”
For those who haven`t watched the 2019 blockbuster, Vaani Kapoor played the female lead Naina in the film. She plays Hrithik`s love interest who despises him as a spy to retrieve sensitive and crucial information from a rival.

Earlier, Radio City had reported that Ayan Mukerji and Yash Raj Films have locked the trailer cut and its release date. The makers are gearing up to unveil the same by mid next week.
A source close to the development shared, “YRF is known to package their trailers to evoke excitement among the audience, and the cut of War 2 is locked with the intent of taking hype and curiosity to another level. The theatrical trailer presents three leads – Hrithik Roshan, NTR, and Kiara Advani at their best, and the team is confident to leave a mark with a near 3-minute cut.”
While Mandala Murders will stream on Netflix from July 25, War 2 will see a theatrical release on August 14.
