Huma Qureshi`s cousin Asif murdered in Delhi
In a shocking turn of events, actress Huma Qureshi`s cousin brother, Asif Qureshi, was murdered in Delhi on Thursday night after an altercation over scooter parking. Delhi Police confirmed the sad news.
The police said the incident took place in Delhi`s Nizamuddin area on Thursday night, adding they have arrested the two accused, who were also Asif`s neighbours.
News agency ANI cited Delhi Police saying the 42-year-old son of Ilyas Qureshi was killed on August 7 around 10:30 atnight after an argument with the accused arose over the parking of their scooter.
The attackers have been identified as Gautam (18) and Ujjwal (19), both of whom are teenagers.
What exactly happened with Asif Qureshi?
Following a verbal confrontation between the victim and the accused, Asif was killed over a simple parking request that turned out to be disastrous.
One of his wives, Shaheen Asif Qureshi, shared, "At around 9:30-10 pm, a neighbour parked a scooter right outside our house. My husband, Asif, requested him to move the vehicle away. The man abused Asif and threatened to come back."
"Within minutes, the man and his brother approached Asif and stabbed him with a sharp weapon. I called Javed, my brother-in-law, but by the time he arrived, Asif had lost a lot of blood and died," Shaheen added.
Post the attack, Asif was rushed to the National Heart Institute in East Kailash, where physicians pronounced him dead. "Doctors said he died an hour and a half ago," his wife said.
The video of his murder was recorded on a CCTV camera. The video shows Asif being threatened and held by his collar by two men, who entered a verbal spat after the former asked them to move their scooter from the entrance of his house in Jangpura Bhogal Lane in the Nizamuddin area.
Huma Qureshi`s father, Saleem Qureshi, expressed shock and said, “I was at home last night when I got a call saying someone had parked a scooter in front of the door. My nephew told them to move it aside so the entrance could be cleared. This led to a fight and an argument. There were two of them, and both together assaulted my nephew Asif, who was 42 years old.”

“This led to a verbal altercation that turned physical. They were two; together they killed my nephew,” he concluded.
Asif Qureshi ran a chicken business in Delhi. The body has been sent for postmortem examination.
