Though she had a special role in the latter, the actress made sure to leave a mark on the audience as Shah Rukh Khan's mother, Aishwarya. Now, Deepika will next be seen in Fighter.

Fighter has already garnered enough and more eyeballs after its teaser was released on this year's independence day, August 15. The movie brings together Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone for the first time on screen.
Deepika Padukone as Mini in Fighter
Amidst several things happening in B-town, the makers of Fighter have released a new poster featuring Deepika. She looks sharp, focused, and relentless as the actress dons an Indian Air Force uniform with a pair of sunglasses.

Deepika Padukone will be portraying the role of Mini, aka Squadron Leader Minal Rathore.
Sharing the poster on her social media, the actress wrote, "Squadron Leader Minal Rathore. Call sign: Minni. Designation: Squadron Pilot. Unit: Air Dragons."
As soon as the poster went up, several celebrities, including Saiyami Kher and Karan Tacker, reacted with fire emoticons in the comments. Fans couldn't hold back their excitement, either.
One user wrote, "Queen is back with a bang," while another comment with a
Jawan reference read, "After Aishwarya Rathore, now it's time for Minal Rathore to set the screen on fire."

Before Deepika Padukone's poster was out, it was
Hrithik Roshan who took the internet by storm. He took to Instagram and shared a poster of himself on Monday.
Describing his character as Patty, aka Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Hrithik's caption read, "Squadron Leader Shamsher Pathania, Call sign: Patty. Designation: Squadron Pilot, Unit: Air Dragons. Fighter Forever (Indian flag emoticon)"
Fighter will mark the first-ever big-screen
collaboration between the two superstars.

The patriotic action drama was announced in January 2021 and was originally scheduled to see a theatrical release in September 2022. However, the pre-production was delayed due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Helmed by Siddharth Anand, Fighter will now release on the eve of Republic Day, January 25, 2024, in cinemas near you.
