Fashion Designer Rohit Bal Rushed to Hospital, Condition Critical

Reknowned fashion designer Rohit Bal, known for his work in the popular quiz show Kaun Banega Crorepati, where he designed costumes, has been hospitalized in Gurgaon after his health turned critical on Monday late at night. He already has a cardiac condition and suffered a serious heart attack in 2010. He is among the leading fashion designers in the country.
It is reported that Rohit Bal is critical and has been put on ventilator support. He has serious health conditions like dilated cardiomyopathy, diabetes, and acute kidney failure. He is being treated under the supervision of Dr. Praveen Chandra.
Rohit Bal was rushed to the hospital by a model three days ago when his condition started to deteriorate. His close friend recalled, "His heart was sinking, and he was unconscious. His pacemaker gave seven shocks. He was initially taken to Moolchand Hospital, and when his condition deteriorated, he was rushed to Medanta."

Rohit Bal is an exceptional mind and hails from Kashmir. He is widely known for his use of lotus and peacock motifs in his work. Along with that, he has been promoting Kashmiri crafts and weaves. At one time, Bal hosted extravagant fashion shows where reputed celebrities walked the ramp. Due to his poor health for the past year, he was not able to do so.

His clothes exemplify a certain cultural richness where all the colors and patterns that are common to the Indian subcontinent merge together to create that final effect. It is as if the entire country were represented through a splash of flowers and exquisite color choice. It is almost like a piece of painting done on a cloth.
In 2010, when he had suffered a massive heart attack, Arjun Rampal made a visit to him in the hospital. Arjun Rampal is his longtime friend, with whom he collaborates quite often. In one of his Instagram posts where Arjun Rampal had worn one of his clothes, Pal remarked, "Arjun Rampal... perhaps the most beautiful man in the world."

Apart from his clients in India, his work has been celebrated globally. Among the international clients, he has designed clothes for Pamela Anderson, Cindy Crawford, and Uma Thurman.
