The wait is finally over for the BTS ARMY! After 18 months of dedicated service, BTS members RM and V have officially returned to civilian life, marking a significant step towards the group`s much-anticipated reunion. Their discharge comes just in time for the annual BTS Festa, fuelling excitement for what`s to come in 2025.
Ahead of the discharge, BIGHIT MUSIC issued a statement urging fans to prioritise safety. "Please note that the discharge day is reserved for military personnel only. No special events are planned on the day of RM, Jimin, V and Jung Kook`s discharge... We place the safety of our artists and fans as our top priority and sincerely request our fans not to visit the sites in person," the agency stated, encouraging fans to send their support from afar.

Fans are eagerly counting down the days until all seven members are back together. While official details are still under wraps, the group is planning to reunite for group activities in 2025. "To all the ARMYs who have waited for us in the military, I want to say I am truly, truly grateful. Please wait just a little longer, and we will return with a really cool performance," V shared with the media. Echoing this sentiment, RM expressed his eagerness to get back on stage, saying he wanted to "work hard to make an album soon and come back to the stage."
The timing couldn`t be more perfect, with the annual BTS FESTA, celebrating the group`s 12th anniversary, just around the corner. While it`s unconfirmed if the newly discharged members will make an appearance, the anticipation is palpable, leading to a surge in HYBE`s shares. On Tuesday, RM and V were discharged from their mandatory military service, becoming the third and fourth members of the global K-pop sensation to complete their duty, following Jin and J-Hope. The duo was greeted by a sea of adoring fans and media at the Sports Park in Chuncheon, Gangwon Province. In a memorable moment, RM delighted the crowd with a surprise saxophone performance, while V stood by his side, holding beautiful flower bouquets.
