Bobby Deol Reveals He Imagined Losing Sunny Deol for a Scene in Animal

Animal is running strongly in theaters, with record-breaking numbers done within just a span of a few days. Apart from its box office success, the film is getting polarizing reactions from people. It has been severely criticized for its glorification of misogyny and portrayal of overtly toxic masculinity. Amidst all of that, Anurag Kashyap has spoken in support of the film.
Bobby Deol talks about losing Sunny Deol for a scene in Animal.
Bobby Deol`s performance in the film is getting a lot of love from everyone. Now, he has revealed a detail about a specific scene from the film. While speaking of it recently, he said, "When I was doing the scene in the film, it was about a brother who has lost his brother. As actors, we use incidents in our lives to bring that emotion home. We have a bank full of them."
Further, he added, "My brother means the world to me. When I was performing that scene, it was as if I`d actually lost my brother. And that’s why, when I was emoting, it felt real."

He revealed that everyone on the set loved his performance. The scene was done in just one take. Director Sandeep Reddy Vanga went up to him after the shot and said, "This is an award-winning shot.".
Earlier, Bobby Deol had spoken about how, while watching Rocky aur Rocky Ki Prem Kahani, he couldn`t sit through the climax of the film. The climax featured his father, Dharmendra, who died due to a medical condition. Bobby Deol became emotional after seeing that scene and walked away from the theater with tears in his eyes.
Animal also stars Ranbir Kapoor, Anil Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Tripti Dimri, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, and Prem Chopra in important roles. It is the third film directed by Sandeep Vanga, after Arjun Reddy and Kabir Singh.
It is a father-son story carved in blood and features some graphically violent scenes, with Ranbir Kapoor playing an angry character. He vows to destroy everything if anything happens to his father. It was released worldwide on December 1 and clashed with Sam Bahadur at the box office, turning out to be the winner in the battle.
