Ananya Panday and Ayushmann Khurrana are gearing up for their upcoming comedy drama, Dream Girl 2. It is the sequel to Ayushmann's 2019 release, which also starred Nushrrat Bharruccha. Replacing her is the Liger actress. At the trailer launch of Dream Girl 2, Ananya was questioned about the 14-year age gap between her and Ayushmann.

Ananya Panday says the age gap has always existed
While many in Bollywood have normalized the ridiculous age gap
between the two leads, it seems actors are pretty much okay working with a rather senior co-star. During the Dream Girl 2 trailer launch, Ananya Panday was asked about the 14-year age gap between her and her co-star Ayushmann Khurrana.

'I don't think this is today's issue. The age difference has always existed. People should not fixate on age while watching the film. If they are preoccupied with this factor, then it becomes a problem. As long as two actors are suitable for their respective roles, it's perfectly acceptable."Dream Girl 2 is not the first movie to cast two
leading actors with a huge age gap. Several Bollywood movies like Sultan, Padman, Om Shanti Om, and more saw rather senior actors romancing much younger actresses.

In the upcoming comedy drama, Ayushmann Khurrana is seen taking his character Pooja a notch higher. This time, not only the voice behind the phone but also Ayushmann will be seen dressing up as a woman.
Ananya Panday will play Khurrana's
love interest in the film. Dream Girl 2 was earlier scheduled to release in July. However, the makers revealed that the delay was caused by the fact that the movie required more work on the VFX.
