Amid rumours of him not hosting the infamous quiz show, Amitabh Bachchan shares the promo of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC) 17 in his signature style. The iconic show that has entertained the masses for over two decades is all set to return with its new season and same host.
Sony Entertainment Channel has officially announced the show`s return with an interesting promotional video. The KBC 17 teaser narrates a story of a wealthy man trying to berate a salesman over an expensive carpet.
The tagline of the show has already increased intrugue among fans. It goes like, "Jaha akal hai, wahan akad hai. (Where there is wisdom, there is pride)." This dramatic introduction promises yet another engaging season of the beloved quiz show.
Amitabh Bachchan is back on the hot seat as the show`s host, bringing his signature style and allure.

At the end of the promo video, Big B channels his iconic character, Vijay Deenanath Chauhan from Agneepath, and says, "We have an appointment from August 11. What does he say? Appointment. He speaks English."
This dialogue has evoked nostalgia with a tribute to one of his most memorable roles and timeless dialogue, which still resonates with fans.
For the uninitiated, there were notable discussions on the Kalki 2898 AD actor bidding adieu to his two-decade-long legacy with the show. Some sources also revealed Salman Khan would replace him as the host.
Bollywood Hungama reports cited Big B was stepping away due to personal reasons. His seat could be taken over by the Dabangg actor, who has already hosted a couple of reality shows.
A source told the entertainment portal, "Salman Khan is the king of the small screen, and he is the best face to replace Amitabh Bachchan, as he also has a strong connection with viewers from small towns. Earlier Shah Rukh Khan had hosted KBC, and if everything goes well, Salman will create new excitement on the TV set."
The makers revealed the launch date for KBC 17. The quiz show is all set to premiere on Sony Entertainment Television and SonyLIV from Monday, August 11, at 9:00 pm.
