Saif Ali Khan Reveals `Worst Marriage Advice` He Received From A Senior Actor

Saif Ali Khan is currently soaring high on the success of his latest series, Kartavya. Released on Netflix, the show sees Khan as an undaunted police officer who will go to any lengths to save his family from menacing threats.
While promoting for the same, the actor shared the worst advice he received at the beginning of his career. This was when he married 12-year-older Amrita Singh right after entering the industry in 1991.
Recalling the advice, he said, "I remember that there was a senior actor from a different generation who told me not to tell anyone that I`m married. I don`t know why he told me that. I think he was trying to say that it would have spoilt my image and fan following. It was the worst and most bizarre advice that someone had ever given me."

Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh were married for 13 years. They had two children – Sara Ali Khan and Ibrahim Ali Khan.
In 2012, the Tashan star married Kareena Kapoor. They are also proud parents to two sons, Taimur Ali Khan and Jehangir Ali Khan.

In an earlier interview, the star kid spoke about his parents` controversial divorce and said, "Now my dad is much happier with Bebo (Kareena Kapoor), and I`ve got two very handsome and naughty brothers. And my mom is the best mother ever. She takes great care of me, and I live with her. It`s all good."

Ibrahim also recalled how it was when tensions were building at home due to Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh`s divorce.
"I was four or five years old, so I don`t remember much. It was probably different for Sara, as she was older," he shared, adding, "But my mum and dad have done a great job of ensuring I didn`t feel the pain that comes with a broken home. I never saw them lose their cool with each other. Some things are just not meant to be."
On the work front, Saif Ali Khan will next be seen in Priyadarshan`s Haiwaan and Rahul Dholakia`s Hum Hindustani.
