Laal Singh Chadda, a Hindi remake of the movie Forrest Gump, is all set to release in theaters on 11th August. The film stars Kareena Kapoor Khan and Aamir Khan. The actors and makers have been promoting the film on a large scale.

Recently, Twitter users have started a campaign of boycotting the movie. The hashtag #boycottlaalsinghchadda has more than 70,000 tweets and the users have been continuously trolling the lead stars of the film.

In an interview, when asked about the trolls by netizens, Kareena stated, 'There are different platforms. Everyone has an opinion. So now, if that is going to be there, then you have to learn to ignore certain things. Otherwise, it will just become impossible to live your life. And that's why I don't take any of this seriously.'

Whereas, speaking about the boycott campaign, Aamir Khanshared,'That Boycott Bollywood... Boycott Aamir Khan... Boycott Laal Singh Chaddha... I feel sad also because a lot of people who are saying this in their hearts believe I am someone who doesn't like India... In their hearts, they believe that... And that's quite untrue. I really love the country... That's how I am. It is rather unfortunate if some people feel that way. I want to assure everyone that it's not the case so please don't boycott my films, please watch my films."

The boycott campaign took place when the old video of the actors went viral. From Aamir making a controversial 'India's growing intolerance' statement to Kareena's statement on nepotism where she is telling people to not watch her films if they don't want to cause the #boycottlaalsinghchadda to spread like a wildfire.

What is your take on the movie? Will you be watching the movie or are you planning to boycott the movie in theaters?
