Ayushmann Khurrana Is Humbled As He Becomes The Only Indian To Be Chosen For TIME100 Impact Awards

Ayushmann Khurrana is one of the finest and most versatile performers Bollywood has ever witnessed. The nuances and intricacies he brings to the table are a delight to watch. As the actor celebrates his 39th birthday today, he becomes the only Indian to be chosen for the TIME 100 Impact Awards 2023.

On Wednesday, the Vicky Donor actor said he was proud and humbled by the honor. This will only encourage him to push the envelope of Indian content through his brand of cinema. For voicing several social issues and social taboos through his movies like Bala, Chandigarh Kare Aashiqui, Dum Laga Ke Haisha, and more, Ayushmann Khurrana was chosen to be one of the 100 most influential people by TIME magazine.


"This is the second time that the prestigious TIME Magazine has chosen to recognize the work that I do on camera as well as off it. I'm proud as well as humbled with this honor from TIME Magazine because it validates my core belief system as an artist and a human being trying to affect positive social change," said the Dream Girl 2 actor.

He further added, "I'm deeply grateful to TIME Magazine for bestowing me with the TIME 100 Impact honor this year. I have and will always try to push the content envelope of India through my brand of cinema."

In the title of his profile, TIME magazine called Ayushmann Khurrana 'a Bollywood star like no other.' At the young age of his cinematic experience, he won the national award for his 2018 release, Andhadhun.


The US-based outlet spoke about his career by writing, "The risk-taking has seen the actor win several more accolades, including a prestigious National Film Award, administered by the Indian government. As his career has flourished over the years, Khurrana has also become passionate about using his platform on the silver screen to advocate for social issues."

Khurrana, who was also appointed as the National Ambassador for UNICEF India to ensure the rights of every child, said he wants to use his work as a medium to make his country a better place.

"I shall also continue to work hard as the UNICEF Ambassador to aid as many children in need in my country. I want to make a difference through my craft and my actions so that the people too can join me in making this nation better for our future generations," Ayushmann concluded.

He becomes the fourth Indian to be chosen as one of the 100 most influential people after Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, and Alia Bhatt.
