Dream Girl 2. The makers of Dream Girl 2 collaborated with several recent Bollywood releases to amp up the excitement. Till now, Ayushmann's character, Pooja, only had a voice. On Tuesday, the actor unveiled the first look from his upcoming comedy-drama, and we are in awe.
Dream Girl 2 is the sequel to
Ayushmann Khurrana's 2019 release. The movie revolved around a social message about why and how every human needs someone they can talk to about anything and everything without being judged.
Ayushmann Khurrana's first look in Dream Girl 2
On Tuesday, the actor took to Instagram and
shared the first glimpse of him dressed as Pooja, his character in Dream Girl 2. Ayushmann was seen dressed as a woman in a lehenga and a blouse. Holding a lipstick, he pouted for the camera. However, the Dream Girl 2 poster also showed the flip side of him as a man.
Sharing the poster, Ayushmann wrote,

As soon as the post went up, the comment section was filled with fans praising the actor. Ayushmann Khurrana's wife,
Tahira Kashyap, dropped a heart-eye emoji and a fire emoji.
One fan wrote, 'How can a man look so beautiful with a wig, makeup, and skirt?" Another comment read, "@ayushmannk, you could seriously become a heroine in a regular movie too. You look a lot prettier than some girls cast these days.'
About Dream Girl 2
The upcoming social comedy drama brings together Ayushmann Khurrana and
Ananya Panday for the first time on the big screen. The first part of the movie featured Nushrratt Bharuccha in the lead. It also starred Annu Kapoor, Vijay Raaz, and Manoj Singh in prominent roles.
Dream Girl 2 was supposed to release earlier in July. However, the makers were not quite happy with the VFX work. Speaking about the delay in release, producer
Ekta Kapoor said,
"We want Ayushmann Khurrana's character to look perfect as Pooja in Dream Girl 2, and that's why we are taking extra time to perfect the VFX work for the face. We want to ensure that our viewers get the best possible experience when they watch the movie. The VFX work for Dream Girl 2 is an integral part of the movie, and we want to ensure that we deliver a high-quality product to our audiences."Dream Girl 2 will now release on August 25 in cinemas near you.
