Historical Premise
Set in the 14th century, the film recounts the story of Rajput king Hamirji Gohil`s efforts to protect the Somnath Temple from the Tughlaq invader, Zafar Khan.
Plot Unveiled
Hamirji Gohil, alongside the Bhil community leader Vegdaji, confronts the tyrannical Zafar Khan, who aims to desecrate the sacred Somnath Temple.
Performances
Sooraj Pancholi delivers a committed performance as Hamirji. Suniel Shetty is effective as Vegdaji, and Vivek Oberoi impresses as the menacing Zafar Khan.
Direction & Pacing
The direction by Prince Dhiman and Kanubhai Chauhan falters, leading to a lengthy runtime of over 2 hours 40 mins and an uneven pace, making it feel exhausting.
Screenplay Woes
Despite visually appealing moments, the screenplay is dull and lacklustre. Unnecessary songs and excessive cinematic liberty detract from the historical core.
Music & Technicals
Monty Sharma`s soundtrack, particularly Har Har Shambhu, is a strong point. However, VFX are average, and cinematography doesn`t elevate it to a magnum opus.

Kesari Veer is a one-time watch for its commendable acting and action, but excessive creative liberties and weak direction prevent it from being truly gripping.
