The allure of Korean dramas, with their intricate plots and emotionally charged characters, has captivated audiences worldwide, including in India. This influence has led to a fascinating trend: the adaptation of Korean content into Indian television and film. Here are five Indian TV and web series inspired by K-dramas.

1. Gyaarah Gyaarah
It is the latest adaptation of the 2016 drama Signal, which starred Le Je-hoon, Kim Hye-soo, and Cho Jin-woong in the lead roles. The Indian adaptation stars Kritika Kamra, Raghav Juyal, and Dhairya Karwa. Gyaarah Gyaarah is a suspenseful series involving police officers who use a mysterious walkie-talkie to communicate across time, helping to solve cold cases.
2. Duranga
Based on the K-drama Flower of Evil, Duranga is a gripping suspense drama where a detective investigates a series of murders, only to uncover shocking truths about her seemingly perfect husband. The Indian version stars Gulshan Devaiah and Drashti Dhami in the lead roles.
3. Kaisi Yeh Yaariaan
This was a very popular television series inspired by the Korean drama Boys Over Flowers. It is a coming-of-age story centred around a group of wealthy, privileged teenagers navigating love, friendship, and the complexities of their high-society lives.
4. Kahani Hamari Dil Dosti Deewanepan Ki
Inspired by The Heirs, this TV romantic drama is about young, affluent individuals dealing with family pressures, love, and the challenges of growing up. The series starred Karan Wahi, Rhea Sharma, Nikhil Chaddha, and Krissann Barretto in lead roles.
