Pop star and Indian rap icon Honey Singh is back with his new song. He is collaborating again with Sonakshi Sinha on a song that is said to be the second chapter of his famous album 'Desi Kalakar', which was released in 2014. It is titled 'Kalaastar' and follows the story after the first one ends.
He posted the teaser in an Instagram post.
In the teaser, Honey Singh is seen in a jail cell doing pushups as an officer announces his release. Carrying a wicked swag on his face, Honey Singh walks away to find his friend waiting in a car. Together, they decide to go to Amsterdam to find the girl he loves, played by Sonakshi Sinha. The title of the song appears as they leave in the car. The teaser ends with a further twist: Sonakshi is seen putting a gun on the head of Honey Singh.
Writing the caption, Honey Singh said, "It's been nine long years, but the wait is over! #YoYoHoneySingh is all set to unveil #Kalaastar, the second chapter ft. #AsliSona. Teaser out now."
The song "Desi Kalakar" from the album became popular for its catchy and conversational lyrics that had an engaging rhythm to them. The story followed Honey Singh running away with Sonakshi Sinha as they were later pursued by the cops. The entire song was shot stylistically in foreign locations, which helped to make it even more popular. Other songs from the album became popular as well, with "Love Dose" getting over 10 million views in just a week. The song also became popular for the dance sequence towards the end. The album was produced by Gulshan Kumar, while 'Kalastar' will be helmed by Zee Music.
Meanwhile, Sonakshi was last seen in the widely appreciated web series "Dahaad," playing the role of a cop. She will be next seen in another webseries titled "Heeramandi" and the horror-comedy film "Kakuda".
