Somy Ali Khan is a Pakistani-American-based actress who has also worked in several Bollywood films. Besides being an actress, she is also a filmmaker, and activist who runs an NGO named No More Tears.

Bollywood superstar Salman Khan has been paired with several actresses, many of which were controversial. One such relationship was with Somy Ali. The actress is Salman Khan's ex-girlfriend and the couple dated from 1991 to 1999. In several interviews, the actress has made it clear that she entered Bollywood just to be with the actor.

Two of them started dating while shooting for a movie in Nepal. They both parted ways when the actress found that Salman Khan was cheating on her. After that, Somy Ali Khan headed back to America.

Recently, former Bollywood Actress Somy Ali shared a poster of the actor's hit film 'Maine Pyar Kiya' where she urged people to stop worshiping him. In the post, she wrote, "A woman beater, and not just me, but many. Stop worshiping him, please. He's a sadistic sick *#uk. You have no idea."

Just after that, the actress shared another post where she also used #salmankhan and wrote, 'Oh, what a ride! To witness big wigs kiss up to women beaters and murderers. Not to mention also murder the witnesses. And then have your help bear the brunt of what you did.'

This is not the first time when Somy pulled something about her relationship with Salman. In January, the actress posted a few lines from the title song of Maine Pyaar Kiya where she wrote 'The Harvey Weinstein of Bollywood! You will be exposed. The women you abused will come out one day and share their truth. Just like @aishwaryaraibachchan_arb.' She refrained from taking the name of the person directly.

In an interview, she said, "It's been 20 years since I broke up with him. He cheated on me and I broke up with him and left. It's as simple as that. I never went there (India) initially to be a part of Bollywood. Once I broke up with my ex, nothing was keeping me there."

In her Bollywood career, Somy worked with several big celebrities such as Saif Ali Khan, Suniel Shetty, Govinda, and Mithun Chakraborty among others. She has worked in films like Krishan Avtaar, Agnichakra, Teesra Kaun?, Aao Pyar Karen and many more.

On the work front, Salman has Kabhi Eid Kabhi Diwali, and Pathan in his pipeline.

Earlier there were rumors that Salman Khan might not host Bigg Boss this season due to charging a whopping amount of approximately Rs 1050 crore. Rumors were that makers contacted Rohit Shetty to host the show but now it's confirmed that Salman Khan will be hosting Bigg Boss Season 16.
