Welcome to the Jungle
Conflicting reports have emerged regarding the sudden halt in the production of the highly anticipated action-comedy Welcome to the Jungle. While initial reports on Tuesday pointed towards financial issues and unpaid dues as the cause for the pause, a source close to the production has strongly refuted these claims. Instead, they assert the break was a necessary precaution following a recent terrorist attack in Pahalgam, where the next schedule was set to be filmed.
This explanation stands in stark contrast to earlier reports that suggested the film was plagued by financial troubles. A report on Monday alleged that the shoot had been cancelled due to non-payment of dues. “The film has been on floors for over a year and a half now. There are also issues of non-payment of dues to the actors and their staff," the report quoted a source, adding that some actors had exited the project.

Directed by Ahmed Khan, Welcome to the Jungle is the third installment in the beloved Welcome franchise. The film boasts a massive ensemble cast featuring Paresh Rawal, Suniel Shetty, Anil Kapoor, Raveena Tandon, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani, among others. Initially slated for a Christmas 2025 release, the film’s premiere has been postponed, with a new date yet to be announced.
Security Concerns Over Financial Woes
The star-studded film, led by Akshay Kumar, has reportedly completed a significant portion of its shoot. "70% of the shoot of Welcome to the Jungle is already done," a source close to the producer stated. The remaining schedule was meticulously planned for the scenic locales of Kashmir. "The entire schedule was locked, which included helicopters, over 250 horses with horsemen, and 1200 junior artists," the insider revealed. However, the production was put on hold last month for the safety of the extensive cast and crew. "Because of the unfortunate Pahalgam attack, the plan got pushed," the source clarified. This explanation stands in stark contrast to earlier reports that suggested the film was plagued by financial troubles.
