March is filled with some thrilling and cutting-edge content that will be binge-worthy and entertaining. One of the upcoming web series that has already intrigued the audience is Showtime, starring Emraan Hashmi and Mouni Roy.
Showtime will mark the Murder actor`s digital debut. It also stars Vijay Raaz, Mahima Makwana, and Rajeev Kahndelwal in prominent roles.
Netizens recently got a glimpse of the upcoming web series ‘Showtime,’ and the internet is going gaga over it. The cause? Emraan Hashmi and Mouni Roy. In the short snippet from the series, the duo can be seen sharing a steamy kiss, which has the fans excited.
The clip starts with Yasmin saying, “You guys are only concerned about numbers. No one cares about entertainment.”
She then asks Raghu, “What happened to Agent Haseena? The world needs to know that I am doing something like Kill Bill. Yasmin Ali in and as Agent Haseena.”
To this, Raghu replies, “Trust me, you are irreplaceable. We will announce it soon. Now give me that kiss.” Then he leans in to steal a kiss from Yasmin’s lips.
Emraan Hashmi is popularly known as the ‘serial kisser’ of Bollywood, and he does not fail to deliver perfectly on his title each time. Fans are now excited to see the on-screen chemistry between Mouni Roy and Emraan Hashmi, which already looks promising from what can be seen in the viral clip.
Apart from Emraan and Mouni, the show stars Mahima Makwana, Rajeev Khandelwal, Shriya Saran, Vishal Vashishtha, Neeraj Madhav, Vijay Raaz, and Naseeruddin Shah.
The series is directed by Sumit Roy and produced by Karan Johar’s Dharmatic Entertainment, a part of Dharma Productions that focuses solely on creating content for OTT platforms.
While talking about her role in the upcoming series, Mouni Roy shared, “I truly believe that work begets work. The kind of work that you`ve done will get you the next few offers, and you can choose the best possible one from that.”
She further added, “It requires a lot of hard work and more than that, the director`s vision to cast someone in different parts which many times does not happen in this industry, and in turn, people end up typecasting you.”
Showtime premiers on Disney+ Hotstar on March 8.
