Vir Das` comment on Coldplay Concert
Actor-comedian Vir Das, known for his witty tweets and a satirical sense of humour, strikes back at trolls who complain about people who attended the Coldplay concert in India without knowing the band`s songs.
The British band held five concerts in India, three in Mumbai and two in Ahmedabad, leaving fans mesmerised with a once-in-a-lifetime experience. The band`s lead singer, Chris Martin, and his girlfriend-actress, Dakota Johnson, were spotted exploring the streets of Mumbai.
Coming back to Vir Das` much-needed tweet, he took to X (formerly known as Twitter) and called such posts `asinine.` He even mentioned how everyone is entitled to attend the concert regardless of knowing Coldplay songs.
His post read, "The number of asinine “Bro, they don’t even know any Coldplay songs; they just showed up” posts I have seen. So? Good. Now they do. It’s lights, music, dancing, and fun. Everyone’s entitled to enjoy. You don’t have the monopoly on fun because you sobbed to yellow one time."

Hours after their second-to-last concert in India, Coldplay took to their official X page and wrote, "Thank you, Ahmedabad; thank you, India. We`ll never forget these two weeks. Your love and kindness will stay with us forever."
Many Indian celebrities, like Suhana Khan, Vijay Verma, Kusha Kapila, Jasprit Bumrah, and Shreya Ghoshal, among others, attended the Coldplay concert in Mumbai. Some even flaunted their glow band and shared stunning glimpses from the event.
Now, the band will fly to Hong Kong for their next gig in April.
