Vijay is back again this year with his second release, which is one of the most anticipated films of 2023. Directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj, Leo has already broken some records at the box office before its release.
The film has surpassed pre-sales of films like Jawan, Pathaan, and others to become the only film since RRR to cross the $1 million mark before its release. It was announced with a new poster by the US distributor of the film on Twitter. In the USA, it is set to release in over 1000 locations, and as demand increases with more and more tickets being sold, more shows are added.
Leo is all set to become the highest-grossing Tamil film ever in terms of its Day 1 collections. Vijay's mass appeal and stardom have made sure that people are coming in large numbers to watch him on the big screen.
In India, Leo has broken the pre-sales record in Kerala and is set to have a grand opening in the state. It will break the record of KGF Chapter 2 and is expected to be the first film to have a double-digit collection in Kerela.

Leo not releasing in PVR, INOX, Cinepolis
In a big move, the national chain of multiplexes has decided not to screen the Vijay starrer as the makers have opted for a 4-week window period for OTT release. The multiplex chains were clear in their decision to have an 8-week period before the film comes on any OTT platform.
Even with this decision by the big multiplex chains, Leo is looking to do big business. It marks the collaboration of Lokesh and Vijay after the blockbuster release of Master in 2021. It remains to be seen how the film will be appreciated by the audience.
Another question among the fans is if it will break the records of Jawan, which has had a record-breaking run at the box office. Leo also stars Sanjay Dutt as the antagonist in a new avatar, which he is set to take on Thalapathy Vijay. Interestingly,
Sanjay Dutt had a guest appearance in Jawan.
