Doctors confirm Prem Chopra`s recovery after hospitalization
After Dharmendra`s uncertain health that forced him to be on a ventilator, veteran actor Prem Chopra was rushed to the hospital after he was diagnosed with a viral infection and age-related issues. Chopra is, however, recovering well.
According to news agency PTI, the 90-year-old Bollywood star was admitted to Mumbai`s Lilavati Hospital two days ago under the care of cardiologist Dr Niting Gokhale. The doctor has now shared an update, assuring the actor is doing fine.
While talking to PTI, Dr Jalil Parkar of Lilavati Hospital shared, "He is a known case of cardiac ailment, and he also had a viral infection, and that’s why I’m treating him for the lungs. He is not in the ICU; he is in the ward."
"He has age-related issues because of which his recovery takes a little time. He should be fine in another three to four days and go home," the doctor further added.

Meanwhile, Prem Chopra`s son-in-law and actor Sharman Joshi, who is married to Prerana Chopra, said, "All good, thank you; just some tests, back tomorrow."
For the uninitiated, the legendary star redefined antagonists in Bollywood with his impeccable aura, magnetic screen presence, and witty dialogues. His signature line, "Prem naam hai mera, Prem Chopra," from Raj Kapoor`s film Bobby, continues to be iconic even today.
The dialogue became instantly popular, making him one of the most menacing antagonists in Bollywood. After Bobby, he appeared as the main villain in films like Do Anjaane (1976), Dostana (1980), and Kranti (1981).
Later on, he revealed the unknown side of himself by moving into character roles and demonstrating his comic versatility in movies like Koi... Mil Gaya (2003) and Rocket Singh: Salesman Of The Year (2009).
Prem Chopra was last seen in Ranbir Kapoor`s Animal, solidifying his strong on-screen presence even in his 90s. He has been entertaining the fans for over six decades.
Radio City wishes Mr Chopra a safe and speedy recovery.
