Raj Anadkat, who played Tipendra Jethalal Gada, aka Tapu, was an integral part of Taara Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. He was the on-screen son of
Jethalal Gada. On the other hand, Munmun Desai, aka Babita Ji, is no new name to the TMKOC fans.
The two got engaged in a low-key ceremony in Vadodra in the presence of their families.

Raj and Munmun's dating rumors have been doing the rounds on the internet for quite some time. According to the sources, some say they have been dating ever since Anadkat joined the show in 2017.
Their relationship first made headlines in 2021. However, neither Raj nor Munmun have given any statements about their rumored engagement. After the rumors of their dating went viral, the two actors put out strong statements on social media, asking everyone not to speculate about their personal lives.

A source close to the development revealed some interesting details. Speaking to News18, the source said the couple has been dating since 2017, and everyone on the sets was aware of it.
"The engagement took place just a few days ago. The two apparently exchanged rings in Vadodara (Gujarat). Munmun and Raj's families have accepted their relationship, and they were also present at the ceremony," the source said.
The source further added, "They have been dating ever since Raj joined Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah. It was very evident. Everyone on the sets knew about it. In fact, some people were certain that Munmun and Raj would get married eventually. Therefore, it is not shocking that they are engaged now."
