In 'Stree,' Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao gave a spine-chilling performance. Producer Dinesh Vijan released 'Roohi' and announced 'Bhediya' starring Varun Dhawan and Kriti Sanon after the grand success of this movie in 2018. To keep the horror franchise going, the producer is apparently working on a prequel to 'Stree.' The movie will begin its shooting in August 2022.
While 'Stree' ended with an open conclusion, the creators of this horror thriller want to give it a backstory. Dinesh Vijan aims to feature the journey of the girl who became Stree, according to a source, the tale would have Shraddha Kapoor reprising her part.


The film will be directed by Marathi filmmaker Aditya Sarpotdar. The filmmaker has previously directed films such as Mauli, The Sholay Girl, Zombivali, and the Voot Select series, The Raikar Case.

Shraddha is currently in Spain shooting alongside Ranbir Kapoor for Luv Ranjan's next.
