The South Korean entertainment industry is in mourning following the sudden passing of actress Lee Seo-Yi at the age of 43. The heartbreaking news was confirmed by her manager in a heartfelt post on her official Instagram account, leaving fans and colleagues in shock.
The statement continued, acknowledging the public`s grief: “I know you all must be shocked and heartbroken by the news of her passing, but please pray that unnie goes to a beautiful place.” The post, made on behalf of Lee`s parents, also provided contact information for those wishing to know where she was laid to rest.

Most recently, she appeared in the tvN drama The Divorce Insurance, which premiered in March and stars Lee Dong Wook and Lee Da Hee. Her film credits include notable titles such as Killing Romance, The King, The Royal Traitor, and Scarlet Innocence. She also held supporting roles in several other series, including Bravo My Life and Pegasus Market.
Beyond her acting career, Lee was a woman of many talents. She was academically accomplished, having majored in Czech and Slovak studies at the prestigious Hankuk University of Foreign Studies, followed by graduate studies at Pusan National University. In addition to her intellectual pursuits, she was a skilled florist and the proud owner of a floral boutique named Bouquet 242. Lee Seo-Yi, who was born Song Soo-yeon, passed away on June 20, though the cause of her death has not yet been disclosed. Her manager, Song Seo Bin, shared the devastating news with the public.
