Kapil Sharma`s Kap`s Cafe Shooting Incident
A wave of concern has swept through the entertainment world following a shooting incident at Kap`s Cafe, comedian Kapil Sharma`s newly opened restaurant in Surrey, British Columbia, on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The attack, which saw bullets fired at the establishment, has been linked to a Khalistani terrorist group, raising serious questions about the motives behind the violence.
The most alarming development came with Khalistani terrorist Harjit Singh Laddi claiming responsibility for the shooting. Laddi, a Canada-based operative associated with the banned terror group Babbar Khalsa International (BKI), is on the National Investigation Agency’s (NIA) most-wanted list and is accused in other terror-related incidents, including the murder of Vikas Prabhakar in Punjab.
According to Laddi`s statement, the attack was a response to "humorous remarks about the dress and behaviour of Nihang Singhs" made by a character on "The Kapil Sharma Show." These remarks were perceived as "mockery of Sikh spiritual traditions and the dignity of Nihang Singhs," hurting religious sentiments. Laddi claimed attempts to contact Kapil Sharma`s manager went unanswered, leading to the attack.
