Television Actor Yogesh Mahajan Dies At 44
The week has started with rather shocking news. Television actor Yogesh Mahajan, known for his role in Shiv Shakti - Tap Tyag Tandav, passed away on January 19 after he suffered a brutal cardiac arrest. He was 44 years old.
As per reports, the actor died on Sunday in Mumbai. He is survived by his wife and a seven-year-old son. He was found unconscious in his apartment when he was rushed to the hospital but was declared dead.
Yogesh was supposed to reach on set, but when he didn`t show up, the cast and crew became concerned and even called him several times. When they reached his home in Umergaon, he was found lying on the floor.
The last rites were performed in Mumbai on Monday, January 20.
The late actor`s co-star Suzanne Bernert expressed her shock over Yogesh Mahajan`s sudden demise and recalled some fond memories. She called him a "wonderful human being who was always positive."
In a statement, Bernert said, “I can`t believe it... such a wonderful human being and actor... we had intense scenes, but off camera it was great fun! Always positive he was, and I am shocked sitting in Hyderabad with the news.”
"Many times we travelled in his or our car... and had deep conversations... I am sad we lost touch through work. It`s normal for one to move on from project to project, but the impact of the bonding stays. Om Shanti, my friend, and so sorry for his family," she added.
He was also seen in Shrimad Bhagwat Mahapuran, Ayushmann Bhava, Antarpravaah, Chakravartin Ashoka Samrat, and Savdhaan India: Crime Alert. Yogesh was essaying the role of Shukracharya in Shiv Shakti - Tap Tyag Tandav.

Yogesh Mahajan`s family issues a statement
The actor`s family members issued a heartbreaking statement that read, “It is with profound grief we would like to inform you about the sudden and untimely demise of our beloved Yogesh Mahajan. He left for his heavenly abode due to cardiac arrest on 19th Jan 2025. This unexpected loss has come as a devastating shock to the entire family, friends, and well-wishers."The last rites were performed in Mumbai on Monday, January 20.
