Salman Khan Death Threat
Bollywood superstar Salman Khan finds himself under threat once again. Security concerns around the actor have escalated following a fresh death threat received early on Sunday morning. This incident adds to a series of threats the actor has faced over the last couple of years, prompting swift action from law enforcement.
The Mumbai Police have taken immediate cognisance of the situation. The Worli police registered a case against unknown persons shortly after the traffic police reported the matter. A senior police officer confirmed the seriousness of the threat, stating, "The message stated that they will definitely kill the actor. It was sent to the traffic police’s helpline number, after which the matter was reported to us, and a case was registered.” Authorities are now actively working to trace the origin of the message and identify the suspect behind this alarming communication.

The threats are widely linked to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi, who is currently imprisoned in Gujarat. Bishnoi has publicly expressed animosity towards Khan stemming from the 1998 blackbuck poaching case. Blackbucks are considered sacred by the Bishnoi community. Lawrence has demanded that Salman publicly apologise for the incident or face dire consequences. Notably, the court has dismissed the poaching case against the actor.
Previous threats have also targeted his family, including his father, Salim Khan. Mumbai Police previously uncovered a plot to attack the actor at his Panvel farmhouse and have arrested over a dozen members of the Bishnoi gang in connection with these threats, even invoking the stringent Maharashtra Control of Organised Crime Act (MCOCA). Last November, police also arrested a man who posed as Bishnoi`s brother, demanding money or an apology from the actor via the police helpline.
Amidst these serious threats, Salman Khan continues his film career, though security around him has been significantly increased following the past incidents. The police remain vigilant as they investigate this latest disturbing development.
