Given the ongoing fights and rifts in Bollywood, it`s not surprising that many actors and directors have experienced significant conflicts after collaborating. Two shocking names on the list were Rohit Shetty and Shah Rukh Khan. The duo has worked in two films together, Chennai Express and Dilwale.
However, after Dilwale, things got weird between the filmmaker and the actor. It`s been a decade that Rohit and SRK have not collaborated on any new project.
Now, Rohit Shetty opened up about his fallout with Shah Rukh Khan and revealed what really happened. He put all speculations to rest and assured fans everything is fine between them.

In a recent interview with Komal Nahta on his Game Changers podcast, the director spoke at length about his speculated rift with the superstar and said, “Nahi aisa kuch nahi (There`s nothing like that).”

“Ek respect hai humare beech me aur Dilwale ke baad ye hua ki immediately phir humne humare khud ki production house kholi. Humne decide kiya ki hum khud ki filmein banayenge. Agar loss bhi ho to humara ho, jabki loss nahi hua tha. (We have mutual respect. We started our own production house after Dilwale. We decided to make our own films so that if we face a loss, it is on us. However, we did not face a loss in Dilwale),” Rohit added.
The filmmaker also pointed out that despite a lukewarm domestic response, Dilwale was a huge commercial success overseas. Notably, the film was produced under Shah Rukh Khan and Gauri Khan`s banner, Red Chillies Entertainment.
Rohit Shetty on his key friendships in Bollywood
The Singham filmmaker also got candid about strong friendships he has built within the industry over the years. He often credits Ajay Devgn for his success, whom he considers like an elder brother.
Rohit also shares a close bond with Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh. They grew close while filming for Chennai Express and Simmba, respectively.
In the same interview, Rohit Shetty also praised Deepika`s dedication and commitment to her craft and recalled that they reshot the final schedule of Singham Again while she was four months pregnant. “Relations like these are rarely made," he emphasized.
On the work front, Rohit`s last directorial project was Singham Again, a third installment of his successful cop universe.
