The latest episode of Koffee With Karan 8 is available to stream on Disney+ and Hotstar. It features the dynamic director-actor duo Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn as they spill some beans on their relationship with each other and more. The episode brought in some new anecdotes, like Karan Johar speaking of the late actor Amrish Puri and how he used to get intimidated by him on the shoot of DDLJ.

During the episode, Rohit Shetty spoke candidly about actors. He feels that actors are insecure. Here's why he said so.

Rohit Shetty calls actors insecure

Taking part in a discussion about what takes actors so long to say yes to a role these days, Rohit Shetty and Ajay Devgn looked back at a time when actors followed their gut feelings in deciding what role to play. They didn't look for social media approval.

Karan Johar pitched in and asked to take this ahead: "What do you think about the newer generation of actors? Do you think they have that fighting spirit?"

To this, Rohit replied, "I think too much insecurity or too much validation they need from social media, from people they don't know. I think they are very insecure I don't know why, but maybe they have their own thing because they were born in this generation."

Karan added to this by saying, "I love that when you go to Ajay or Shah Rukh, Salman, and Akshay, after a point, I mean, I am not saying that this is sacrosanct I think they go on their instinct they will say mujhe 20 minutes mein kahaani bata do, and after 20 minutes they understand the world of the film because they have an understanding today you go to these younger actors."

He also said that with the younger actors, it takes more time for them to understand the world of the film as they want to go deeper into every scene. He also reflected that, compared to the older actors, the younger ones take a lot of time to get back with an answer after the narration.

It was an absolute pleasure to watch Rohit and Ajay be their natural selves on Koffee With Karan 8. Their rapidfire round was all sorts of fun, and Ajay Devgn's witty responses are a different class altogether.
