Dharmendra passes away days before his 90th birthday
The whole nation is mourning the loss of a cinema legend and superstar, Dharmendra, who passed away weeks before his 90th birthday. The veteran actor had been struggling with health-related issues for quite some time. He was hospitalised for a couple of days before being discharged from Breach Candy Hospital.
While the doctors gave a positive nod, the actor breathed his last on Monday, November 24, leaving a huge void in the Indian film industry. While many celebrities called it "the end of an era", others were seen arriving at the crematorium for his last rites.
Amid the devastating news, Radio City takes you back to his 88th birthday celebration, where Dharmendra was seen sharing some happy moments with his family.

After the heartbreaking news of his passing away, many old photos of him with his second wife, Hema Malini, have been surfacing on the internet.
On December 8, 2024, the Dream Girl took to Instagram and shared a series of photos with "the man of her dreams". She even expressed gratitude for being together in happy and tough times.

Taking it to social media, Hema Ji wrote, "A day to celebrate! Happiest Birthday to the man of my dreams. I have held your heart as you have held mine ever since we first met many years ago. We have been through good times and bad, always together, steadfast in our love for each other. I look forward to being dazzled by your charm for many more years to come. May God bless you with good health and happiness always."
Another series of pictures that went viral were shared by the Baghban actress on X (formerly Twitter), which also featured their daughter, Ahana Deol. She simply captioned, "Taken today."

Earlier on his 88th birthday, Dharmendra celebrated his birthday with his fans and elder son, Sunny Deol, cutting a massive cake brought by one of his fan clubs.
Truly, his demise has left a magnanimous void among the fans. Rest in peace, Dharam Paaji. You will be missed.
