Ramayana`s Yash Joins Forces With Guy Norris of Mad Max For Action Sequences

Indian cinema is gearing up for its biggest mythological spectacle as actor-producer Yash has officially commenced principal photography on Ramayana. This ambitious two-part film, co-produced by Yash’s Monster Mind Creations and Namit Malhotra’s Prime Focus Studios, promises to redefine the scale of Indian cinema.
Yash, who will portray the formidable demon king Ravana, is fully committed to the role, undergoing intense physical preparation. The first images from the production reveal the Yash, who leads the ensemble cast alongside Ranbir Kapoor, in peak physical condition, preparing to embody Ravana. He is dedicated to a substantial 60-70 day shooting schedule for Ramayana Part 1.

This epic narrative follows Prince Rama’s 14-year exile, during which Ravana abducts his wife Sita, leading to a climactic battle. Ramayana Part 1 is slated for release during the 2026 Diwali holiday frame, with the second installment following on Diwali 2027. This adaptation aims to be a grand cinematic experience, leveraging world-class VFX by Namit Malhotra`s DNEG, which has powered seven VFX Oscar winners in recent years.
Hollywood Action Maestro Guy Norris Joins the Team
To bring the epic action sequences of Ramayana to life, the makers have enlisted the expertise of Guy Norris, the acclaimed stunt director behind Hollywood hits like "Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga", "Mad Max: Fury Road", and "The Suicide Squad". Norris is currently in India, collaborating closely with Yash to design and choreograph elaborate action sequences specifically tailored for the massive scale of this mythological adaptation.
