The Greek God of Bollywood, Hrithik Roshan, is all set to don the director`s hat as he takes over the role to oversee Krrish 4. With Rakesh Roshan stepping down as the director, many changes have been made in the fourth instalment of the iconic superhero love story.
While fans have been waiting with bated breath for the upcoming instalment of the superhero franchise, Rakesh Roshan shared some major updates on the progress of the film.
In a recent interview, the filmmaker revealed when the movie is likely to go on the floors and also shared the release date. However, apart from Hrithik, the rest of the cast hasn`t been disclosed yet.

The veteran filmmaker, who admitted that the fourth part of the infamous superhero franchise was delayed due to budgeting issues, has now been resolved.
“The script didn’t take a lot of time. The pressure was the budgeting. Now that we have an idea of the definite budget required for this film, we’ll be starting the film,” Roshan said.

Delving deeper into the updates, the director hinted at a 2027 release and added, “The work is going on in full swing. We are going to start shooting by the middle of next year. This is because the pre-production is much more extensive for this film. Hence, we have to be well prepared before we go on floors. We plan to release it in 2027.”
Earlier in March this year, Rakesh Roshan took to social media and announced that he will be stepping down as the director of Krrish 4 as he passes on the baton to his son. Hrithik Roshan will now be directing the movie.
Rakesh, in a heartwarming Instagram post, wrote, “Duggu, 25 years ago I launched you as an actor, and today again after 25 years you are being launched as a director by two filmmakers—Aditya Chopra and myself—to take forward our most ambitious film, #Krrish4. Wish you all the success in this new avatar, with good wishes and blessings!”

In another interview while promoting his last film, War 2, the actor was asked about the superhero actioner. He didn`t paint a vague picture and hinted that the fans would have to wait longer.

He also said the work on the project is in full swing and said, “I think you’ll have to wait longer. Too early to speak about Krrish 4."
"It is something that is obviously a difficult film, and you have to see the business side of it, the economics of it, and then, of course, the depth and the script," he added.
The Dhoom 2 actor concluded by saying, "The things are falling into place. It`s still a long way to go."
