Rakesh Roshan undergoes angioplasty, shares health update
Apart from being a fantastic filmmaker, Rakesh Roshan is also a fitness freak who never compromises on his health. After suffering from cancer, he has become a little too cautious. In his latest post, Roshan shared a health update after undergoing an angioplasty recently.
For context, Rakesh went for a routine full-body check-up only to find out his carotid arteries are over 75 per cent blocked. He instantly admitted himself to the hospital and underwent angioplasty to fix the same.

The Krissh director took to Instagram on Tuesday and shared a photo of him shaking hands with a nurse at the hospital. He explained the beginning of everything in his detailed caption.
"This week has been truly eye-opening. During a routine full-body health check-up, the doctor conducting the sonography for the heart suggested I also do one for the neck. By chance, we found out that although asymptomatic, both my carotid arteries to the brain were above 75% blocked. Which, if ignored, could be potentially dangerous," he wrote.

After the preventive procedures were complete, he was discharged from the hospital.

Rakesh Roshan further added, "I immediately admitted myself into the hospital and got the preventative procedures done. I am back home now, fully recovered, and hope to get back to my workouts very soon. I hope this inspires others to stay on top of their health, especially where the heart and brain are concerned."
He emphasisedthe importance of getting a health checkup done and elaborated, "A heart CT and a carotid brain artery sonography (which is often ignored completely) is a must for everyone above 45-50 years old. I think it’s important to remember that prevention is always better than cure. I wish a healthy and aware year to you all."
Sunaina Roshan shares Rakesh Roshan`s health update
Recently, the filmmaker`s daughter and Hrithik Roshan`s sister, Sunaina, sat down for a chat with Amar Ujala Digital and shared an insight on her father`s health.
She said, “Yes, Papa had an angioplasty in his neck, but he’s perfectly fine now. There’s nothing to worry about. He`s resting."
Many celebrities, including Hrithik, his ex-wife Suzzanne Khan, Anil Kapoor, Suniel Shetty, and Tiger Shroff, among others, wished the filmmaker a healthy and speedy recovery.
