Tiger 3 actor Varinder Singh Ghuman passes away
Punjabi actor Varinder Singh Ghuman, who was also a popular bodybuilder, passed away at 42 of a cardiac arrest. He had gone to Amritsar for minor bicep surgery. Since it was a minor operation, Ghuman was expected to return today. However, he suffered a heart attack and died.
For the uninitiated, Varinder Ghuman was a renowned figure in both the bodybuilding and entertainment worlds. His death has left the nation shocked. This news comes a day after Punjabi singer Rajvir Jawanda`s passing away.
Who was Varinder Singh Ghuman?
The bodybuilder-actor won the Mr. India competition in 2009 and was the runner-up at Mr. Asia, establishing himself as a prominent personality in the Indian bodybuilding scene.

It was in 2013 that his career reached new heights when he was chosen by the legendary Arnold Schwarzenegger to represent his products in Asia.
In an earlier interview with the Hindustan Times, Ghuman shared, "It was during a visit to Spain for a competition for the Arnold Classic Bodybuilding Championship that I got to meet the star. I was a top ranker at the event, and Arnold was enthralled to see my body and that I was the tallest bodybuilder from India."
Later, Schwarzenegger described the late bodybuilder as "an amazing talent" on social media.
Varinder Singh Ghuman`s movie career
Apart from bodybuilding, Ghuman also made his mark in the film industry. He made his Punjabi debut in the 2012 release `Kabaddi Once Again` and debuted in Hindi in 2014 with `Roar: Tigers of the Sundarbans`.
He continued to appear in supporting roles in Hindi films like Marjaavaan in 2019. Varinder Singh Ghuman was last seen as Shakeel, a Pakistani prison guard, in Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif`s Tiger 3.
Ghuman was also known for his vegan lifestyle, a rarity in the world of bodybuilders. The Punjabi film industry is mourning the loss of a rising talent.
