Priyanka Chopra Recalls Being Panicked After She Delivered 6 Flop Movies
On a Spotify podcast named Armchair Expert with Dax Shepard,
Priyanka Chopra got candid about the time when she thought her career was almost over. Not being a product of nepotism, she had no choice but to venture into a second revenue source. The Citadel actress was asked,
'You have some tanks in a row. Then people are starting to write in India.'
Recalling the horrible time, Priyanka said,
'There was a cover which said 'Finished'.' She was in her early 20s at that time and she remembered how the actress and her mum Madhu Chopra were panicking. The Desi Girl remembers when her mother came to her and said,
'You're gonna be 30 soon. You know that's old in this industry. They want to work with 20-year-olds so you need to think about a revenue stream if you're going to sustain yourself."

'It's so sad that she had to come and tell me in my ripe old age of 30 that my career would not be the same but it was a fact. It was a concern. I got into production because of that actually,' said Priyanka. She further added that she was concerned because she isn't a 'nepo baby.'
'But I was terrified when those 6 movies didn't do well because I'm not a nepo baby. I didn't have that kind of support that exists in a big way in Bollywood movies,' Priyanka further said
on the podcast.
Priyanka Chopra Shares Her Views On Nepotism In Bollywood
Further speaking about
nepotism in the Hindi film industry, PeeCee said,
'You know they are multi-generational actors that come in and get multiple opportunities versus the ones that come in from outside. You don't have your uncle making a movie for you just because your last one tanked, right? You have to get it and you have to hustle for it.'

'And that was one of the big reasons why I took on a movie on my shoulders. It was out of necessity, which turned out to be career-defining for me,' said the Dil Dhadakne Do actress.
