However, what kept the ship afloat were some of the monstrous hits in 2023. This year saw some great
cinematic experiences and delightful visuals, which slowly reduced the pressure on moviegoers to protest against the dirty and dark side of the industry.

Yash Raj Films' spy universe, Pathaan broke several box office records across the globe. It went on to cross the unbelievable 1,000-crore figure worldwide. Pathaan marked Shah Rukh Khan's much-awaited comeback after a hiatus of almost four years. The movie also featured Deepika Padukone and John Abraham in prominent roles.
2. Tu Jhoothi Main Makkar

Ranbir Kapoor-Shraddha Kapoor starrer not only brought a fresh pair to the big screens but also a light-hearted romantic comedy that was a breath of fresh air. Fans got to see the Brahmastra actor as a lover boy after a long time. The lead pair's chemistry made the movie a superhit.
3. The Kerala Story
The Kerala Story divided moviegoers on social media. While some loved the movie yet dreaded the reality shown in it, others found this propaganda. Director Sudipto Sen's latest release garnered controversy, so much so that the movie was banned in several states.
Regardless of the dissension, The Kerala Story still managed to emerge as one of the biggest hits of all time in Hindi cinema.
4. Zara Hatke Zara Bachke
A romantic comedy with a twist like no other brought together yet another fresh pair:
Vicky Kaushal and Sara Ali Khan. Though the movie received mixed reviews, Zar Hatke Zara Bachke's box office collection was certainly stronger than that of Adipurush.

Satyaprem Ki Katha is yet another Bollywood movie to enter the 100-crore club. The Kartik Aaryan-
Kiara Advani starrer emerged as one of the refreshers for moviegoers. Especially seeing Kartik portray the adorable Sattu, which gave audiences a break from the toxic heroes shown in the movies.
Satyaprem Ki Katha is still going strong at the box office. It has managed to surpass the gross collection of Kriti Sanon-Prabhas starrer
Adipurush.
