Stranger Things Season 5 Announcement
Get ready, Stranger Things fans! The wait is almost over. Netflix has finally pulled back the curtain, revealing the highly anticipated release schedule for the fifth and final season of the beloved sci-fi horror series. It`s almost time to return to Hawkins, Indiana, for a fifth and final time, and the stakes have never been higher.
This multi-part release comes more than three years after Season 4 captivated audiences with its two-installment premiere in May and July 2022.
Netflix didn`t just drop dates; they also offered a tantalising glimpse into the upcoming season with a series of new stills. The photos hint that Eleven, Mike, Will, Jim Hopper, Steve, and the rest of the team are set to embark on a perilous mission to confront Vecna, the main antagonist.
The images showcase the lead cast, including Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven, looking tense with a bloody nostril alongside David Harbour’s Jim Hopper. Another still shows Finn Wolfhard’s Mike Wheeler shielding other Hawkins kids from an unseen threat. We also see Winona Ryder, who plays Joyce Byers, holding a shovel, ready to protect her loved ones.
Fans will be anxious to see the fate of Max Mayfield, played by Sadie Sink. Stills show her lying unconscious on a hospital bed with Caleb McLaughlin’s Lucas by her side. In Season 4, Max was severely attacked by Vecna, ending up in a coma. The ever-iconic duo, Dustin (Gaten Matarazzo) and Steve (Joe Keery), are also confirmed to return, ready to face new challenges together. Meanwhile, Noah Schnapp’s Will Byers appears to be in for another terrifying ordeal, as one image captures a mortified Will shouting “Run”.
