Nagarjuna files complaint against Konda Surekha
Veteran actor Nagarjuna Akkineni has taken legal action against Telangana Minister Konda Surekha following her controversial remarks about his son, Naga Chaitanya, and Samantha Ruth Prabhu’s divorce. Surekha’s comments, which linked the couple`s separation to a political conspiracy, ignited a heated political and public debate. Nagarjuna`s complaint, filed in Hyderabad, seeks accountability for the derogatory and defamatory statements made by the minister, which he claims were aimed at damaging his family’s reputation.
Nagarjuna expressed in the complaint, “The statement was made with the malicious intent of conveying falsehoods to the public at large, intending to cause harm to the complainant and his family reputation for political gain and sensationalism.”

She stated, “It is KT Rama Rao because of whom (actress) Samantha`s divorce happened... He was a minister at that time and used to tap the phones of the actresses and then find their weaknesses to blackmail them... He used to make them drug addicts and then do this... Everyone knows this, Samantha, Naga Chaitanya, his family—everybody is aware that such a thing happened.”
Surekha`s explosive statements, which accused KTR of exploiting actresses for political gain, immediately caused a stir. Her remarks dragged Naga Chaitanya and Samantha’s personal lives into the political spotlight, leading to outrage from both fans and the Telugu film fraternity.
Nagarjuna`s decision to file a case reflects the seriousness with which he views the attack on his family’s reputation. The actor has made it clear that such baseless accusations, especially when they target personal matters, should not be tolerated.
