No Security Beefed Up Around Kapil Sharma`s Mumbai Home Post The Canada Firing
After the Khalistani firing incident outside Kapil Sharma`s cafe in Canada, the internet has been shaking and quaking with updates about him pouring in every minute. Amidst the same, a team of Mumbai police paid a visit to his Oshiwara residence.
On Friday, Mumbai Police reached the actor-comedian`s residence a day after the Canada firing incident. As per a senior police officer cited in a PTI news agency report, the visit was made to confirm Kapil Sharma`s address.
"Police personnel visited DLH Enclave building in Oshiwara, a day after the firing at his restaurant in Canada. The team left the place in some time after confirming the address," the official quoted to PTI.

However, the team did not record Sharma`s statement during the visit, nor was the security amped up around his Mumbai residence.

The visit comes a day after shots were fired outside his cafe in Canada by a group of people who identified themselves as Khalistanis. The comedian opened Kap`s Cafe on the borders of towns Surrey and Delta in Canada’s British Columbia.
According to the Surrey Police Service (SPS), the officials reacted to the deadly action around 1:50 am (local time) on Thursday. There were no casualties or injuries during the firing. The cafe was inaugurated on July 4.
The SPS said, "On Thursday, July 10, at 1:50 am, Surrey Police Service was called to a business located in the 8400 block of 120 Street for a report of shots fired.”
“Upon police arrival, it was quickly determined that the shots were fired towards the business, damaging the property, while staff members were still present inside,” it further added.
Kap`s Cafe`s official statement
After the firing, the cafe took to its official social media handles and called the incident "heartbreaking", adding they are "still processing the shock".

“We opened Kap’s Cafe with hopes of bringing warmth, community, and joy through delicious coffee and friendly conversation. To have violence intersect with that dream is heartbreaking. We are processing this shock, but we are not giving up,” the official statement of Kap`s Cafe read.
The statement further mentioned, "Your kind words, prayers, and memories shared via DM mean more than you know. This cafe exists because of your belief in what we’re building together. Let’s stand firm against violence and ensure Kap’s Cafe remains a place of warmth and community. From all of us at Kap’s Cafe, thank you and see you soon, under better skies."
